The Labrador Retriever is a solid, muscular dog, slightly longer than tall, with a short, water-resistant double coat. They have a broad head and thick nose. Eyes are chestnut or brown. The English Labrador version is heavier, thicker and stockier. The American Lab is usually taller and slimmer.
Labs are loving and affectionate. They’re loyal and want to please. They love water and are friendly with children and other dogs. They crave human interaction and love being part of the family.
They require little to no grooming and usually live for 11-14 years. They do need exercise everyday, but they're fine for condo living as long as they get it. Training is highly recommended.
